2013 Emancipation Stakes – Nominations

Nominations have been released for the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes, which is due to run at Royal Randwick Racecourse this Saturday April 27, 2013.

A total of 14 fillies and mares have been nominated for the 2013 Emancipation Stakes, including Skyerush.

Skyerush has won 10 of her 43 race starts and has earned more than $840,000 in prize money during her horse racing career.

The seven-year-old won the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude last start and will be looking to successfully defend her title in the 2013 Emancipation Stakes.

Skyerush is trained by Guy Walter and will be out to third race start from four runs this autumn carnival.

Also included in the 2013 Emancipation Stakes nominations is Driefontein.

Driefontein has won four of her 14 race starts and has earned more than $1.6 million in prize money during her career.

The three-year-old finished sixth in the Group 1 Storm Queen Stakes last start and will be out to go five places better in the 2013 Emancipation Stakes.

Driefontein, who is trained by Gai Waterhouse, will be seeking her first win this preparation she lines up for the race this Saturday.

Raspberries and Say No More are also included in the 2013 Emancipation Stakes nominations.
